Why did Jason Blanchards Site go Down:

The reason the web site shut down is because of a personal decision. What started it was the study guide I had available for download was a copyrighted study guide I had never known about. I received a copy of the study guide from my last unit. It was given to me by my NCO's but there was no mention of it coming from an actual company. I was contacted Wednesday morning by the company and they informed me I had been copyrighting their material. I immediately took their material off the site. I had made this web site with the best of intentions to do good things, not to cause trouble or hurt anyone.  I spoke to the President of the company and she informed me there is an option to print out the study guide and it make no reference to the company itself on the pages. I have straightened this matter out with the company, but decided to stop doing the site. I have been doing this site for over 3 years now, I have spent well over 2,000 hours of personal time trying to make the best site possible for my fellow soldiers. I feel I'm at a point now, where it's time to move on to something else.

Do Not Fear, the Site will be back UP:

This is to let everyone know. I have turned the site over to CSM Elder, who runs www.earmyhq.com. (Now www.vproservice.com) He will have the site back up very, very soon. I will be sending him all the information this weekend. It has been a pleasure serving, I look forward to seeing the site grow under new leadership. I really appreciate the compliments I have been getting. Thank you all and I will miss running the site. Since I began the site in April 1998, I have seen it grow from under 800 visitors a month to over 800 visitors a day. This web site, I believe has played a part in training almost every soldier in the Army. I tried to answer every email ever sent to me. I have tried to keep up to date and deliver the best possible product to the greatest customer in the world, THE UNITED STATS ARMY. I will continue to submit and keep in contact with the web site. Like I said, I will miss running it a lot. I will also be keeping a close relationship with the Army even though I ETS in June. I will be going to Film School (www.fullsail.com) in Florida in Aug, and plan to make some military inspired movies. So be on the look out for a Jason Blanchard movie in about 5 years. Thank you to everyone that ever spread the word about this site to another soldier. Also thank you for buying things through the commission links posted on the site and a special thank you to people who donated money. I raised almost enough money to break even. I would especially like to thank God, without him this web site would have never been possible. DO not worry though this is not the last you've heard from SPC Blanchard. This was only my first web site, I'm only 23. I have lots of time left. Thank you and God Bless.

If you would like to comment on how this web site impacted you, your unit, or training at your unit let me know, email me. spc_blanchard@yahoo.com
